Our original board, the Sportster has been used in journeys resulting in six world records since 2003. It's the only board to have skated the length of Britain (twice), and across Australia.
Eyecatching it certainly is, but the 'mudguards' don't just stop the Saturday suit getting soaked on a rainy day, they're part of rollsrolls' trademark design allowing large wheels to compliment a low standing deck. As a consequence, knees bend less and minimal energy is needed to drive the board forward, and the large wheels mean less resistance and a smooth-as-silk ride.
When you're not skating, the Sportster can be held by a truck and pulled along with ease. This and its light weight makes it an ideal choice for long distance rides or city commutes.
The materials are aviation-proven: carbon fabric and aramid fabric. You can see the carbon and aramid fabrics under transparent protection and sealing layers. We process these high-strength textile fabrics, because no other material has so high degree of strength and rigidity at such small dead weight. The body weighs about 39oz (1,100g) and resists tension loads in longitudinal direction more than 66,000lb (30,000 kg).
We offer the Sportster as a complete with Randal 180s or Holey trucks and ABEC11 97mm Flywheels. Colors: graphite black with beige stripes, beige with black stripes, solid red and a solid white deck, ideal if you want to get arty.
