I have been working as an acupuncture therapist for 18 years and use the two most commonly practiced types of acupuncture, Five Element and TCM. I started studying acupuncture when, 20 years ago, as a dancer, I was exhausted by the stress and demands of the profession and had acupuncture treatment.

A recurrent physical problem I’d had for years disappeared and I was so inspired by the treatment and advice I decided to study acupuncture. After choosing this path, I discovered a discipline which combines love of nature with great insight into the complexity of human behaviour and experience.

Acupuncture helps us addresses how we live our lives and develops an ability to “tune in” to the underlying natural orders in our bodies and emotions to find health, harmony and aliveness.

My work has led me to further investigate the interrelationship between mind and body. As a result my practice is informed by ongoing further training and study in areas that include:

  • Meditation: Helps us still the mind and opens a space for change.
  • Bodywork: A deeply relaxing physical therapy based on Zero Balancing that releases pockets of tension and leaves the client feeling very centred and “balanced” – and more able to integrate changes. The client is fully clothed.
  • Psychology: Object Relations & Internal Family Systems Therapy: which have given me an understanding of how we are often stuck with outmoded patterns of behaviour and ways of addressing these blocks.
  • Nutrition : Simple dietary changes can make a huge difference to our energy flow and well being.

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council, the UK 's main regulatory body for the practice of traditional acupuncture, and am also certified in Internal Family Systems Therapy.
