Aquaskipping is one of those pastimes that earns you a reputation for...well, being unusual.

Take this as an example. A professional broadcaster, for no other media outlet than the esteemed BBC, a lady whose job is to describe things for radio listeners, a lady capable of painting a picture with her words. This was her take on the aquaskipper:

"It's the most bizarre looking contraption I've ever seen. It looks a little bit like a tricycle with no wheels. It's looks a little bit like a bizarre metal horse..."

So there you have it. But odd as it may seem, the aquaskipper is fun, great exercise, and undoubtedly a challenge. Which is why Dave Cornthwaite decided to take up aquaskipping with the aim of taking it to its limit.
