Why Us?

We have direct relationships with some of Africa, Asia and Latin America’s most needy schools.

Since 1993 Africa Asia Venture has established strong relationships with needy rural schools in Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Uganda, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, India, Thailand, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Mexico. We are able to identify schools that are most in need of funding and to monitor the progress of the projects we support. In addition, the Foundation’s trustees and AV senior management visit over 70 schools supported by AV each year and maintain direct relationships with school heads and relevant community leaders.

We work hand in hand with AV’s committed volunteers

Most of AV’s volunteers are moved to raise money for their volunteer schools and communities after returning home. Some also devote time to return to their schools and initiate building projects that will benefit the community. In many cases, the AV Foundation donates funds to support this work on the ground. In other cases returning volunteers act as our local champions, overseeing our building projects on the ground.

We have no administration costs

With AV paying for our overheads and by using AV’s local infrastructure in Africa, Asia and Mexico, we ensure that 100% of all donor funds go directly into the education projects we support.

130 million children do not reach secondary school in the developing world.
A small amount of money can help transform the lives of these children and their families over generations.
